Fall production

I feel so productive this time of year! We have had such a beautiful weekend and the weather has been amazing! Great weather for building a new structure off my she-shed with some wood around the house! :)

I found the triangular framing piece this Summer for free on a back road and knew I wanted to do something with it...

I wanted a pergola type structure off the shed. I can see white lights on it in the future along with hanging baskets next Spring!

I still need to finish painting it. So far I love how it turned out. After a productive day we decided to take one of our typical backcountry drives. A work and play weekend!

We never know what we will see!

Just beautiful!

Hope you all are enjoying this beautiful Fall!

Bushel and a peck Sunday :)

The only way to describe this Vermont Sunday...

Doris Day's I Love You, a Bushel and a Peck. A drive to the islands for one of our favorite parts of Fall. APPLE PICKING!

I love that song and my husband will listen to it because he knows I love it! I strongly encourage you to listen to it too. It should be played prior to apple picking always!

So... Pictures with the lyrics to my favorite apple picking song. :)

I love you a bushel and a peck
A bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck
A hug around the neck and a barrel and a heap
A barrel and a heap and I'm talkin' in my sleep

About you, about you
'Cause I love you a bushel and a peck
You bet your purdy neck I do
A doodle oodle oh

A doodle oodle oodle oh doo

love you a bushel and a peck
A bushel and a peck though you make my heart a wreck
Make my heart a wreck and you make my life a mess
Make my life a mess, yes a mess of happiness

About you, about you
'Cause I love you a bushel and a peck
You bet your purdy neck I do
A doodle oodle ooh doo
A doodle oodle oodle ooh doo

I love you a bushel and a peck
A bushel

A bushel and a peck, I do!

You betcha pretty neck I do!

Hoping you all are taking in the beauty and listening to the crunch below your feet.

Thoughts, prayers and simplicity this Fall

I am posting today with a heavy heart. I often feel overwhelmed and wonder what is happening in our world. I am taking moments to pray and to appreciate my family and this beautiful time of year.

Time to be thankful for Harvests.

Enjoying the quiet time of making jelly, and an easy Sunday morning with family.

Taking deep breaths and enjoying my time at home. Simplicity

Finishing fun projects.

Just enjoying every moment feeling so thankful that I live in a beautiful place and that my family is happy and healthy. I hope you all are finding peace and enjoyment during this Season as well.
