STOP!!!! Time out!

Do you ever feel like there are moments in your life when you want to give the official timeout signal?

Well, today was that day! Enough! Done! Throwing in the towel Done! Too busy! Whopping Headache, DONE!

Work load/commute, a bus for teenagers involved
in sports, Training, Freezing temps, January Blahs Overload!!

For weeks, I kept putting off fun projects. There just wasn't any time.
Today, I took the time for me! Yes, that's right! A rarity. A woke up after about 11 hours of needed sleep recovery and PHEW.
So... I made a lamp out of an old vase that was on it's way to Good Will.

And I finally played with some shutters that I picked up weeks ago. They needed to be cut in half. Done. And now, I have gone shutter crazy :)

Ah, a cat's life! What you can't see is the wood fire that she is enjoying to the left. And she didn't move while I was hanging the Shutters. I had to step over her heinous.

I'm not much for sitting around but every once in a while I just need to recharge my batteries with taking the time for fun projects. Recovering with creativity. The best kind. :)

Cold on the outside, warm inside :)

When it's so cold outside, it's fun to organize and change around the inside.

I'm excited about some upcoming challenges and projects this new year.

I have enjoyed bringing in new greens to warm the place up.

As always, there is never enough time to do all that I want in a day.

I picked up this book because of my favorite designer Vibeke's post. Her picture is on the cover and all of her photos are completely inspirational. She often sparks many ideas in my mind for this upcoming new year...

New beginnings for January

I think I am doing much better. I am really starting to get over missing the Christmas decor. I am looking forward to new experiences this New Year. New decor, new gardens ( eventually), new projects and all new beginnings. Cheers to 2018!

Why not Embrace the Winter

Why not embrace the Winter right? It's here to stay for a bit so...
Winter decor after the Christmas goodies has been put away. And some greenery too. Also, heading out in a bit to buy fixings for homemade soup and some fresh flowers as a reminder that we can't really appreciate Spring to the fullest unless we experience Winter right? 😁

Must haves until the weather gets nice are plants/greenery and fresh flowers :)

Also, the best part of Winter is that I can focus solely on indoor renovations.

The ideas are brewing...

Stay inspired and warm friends! There is beauty in every season. Some Winter days it may be a bit more challenging, but there always is.
