Glitter everywhere

I've been admiring Putz Vintage cardboard houses for a while now. I've seen the new ones pop up everywhere this year. I'm not sure I appreciated the price for them however. Thought I would give it a try...

I can't say I followed a template :(

I looked at some on Pinterest and did what I could.

I figured that it would be kind of like building a gingerbread house.

Cardboard is really forgiving! A glue gun was definitely needed!

White paint definitely covers up imperfections. I used parchment paper to line the inside of the windows for lighting.

Then of course, glitter makes everything beautiful even though it is now officially everywhere!

This was so much fun, I encourage anyone to give it a try.

Last but not least, an almost finished project...(all while It's a Wonderful Life played in the background!)

Battery operated light and voila...
Cardboard glitter house. Really fun!

 Happy Holidays!!

Jolly inside and out

We have officially decked the halls inside and out.

We may have gone overboard with lights, maybe...

The twinkle is everywhere.

Every little nook, cranny and cloche decked.

My kids think I'm nuts with all the cheer.

However, when completely finished they say, "Is that all you have for decorations Mom?

Really???

I'm so happy that my family enjoys the total home transformation.

It certainly brings a smile to our faces.

Hope you all are enjoying every moment of this merry season!

Where's the snow?

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here, except oddly there is no snow!

The day after Thanksgiving, my son and I worked together for HOURS !!!

To start to pull together the outside.

The collecting of the greens is always comical! There may have been a slight allergic reaction after the collecting :(

Worth it?? I think.

Good news is that we had a rather mild working day.

This time last year there was snow.

Breaking out the old sled just may be good luck.

For the forecast at the end of this week?

Yes...
THERE WILL BE SNOW!

I hope!
