Give me the Simple Life :)

I came across this quote today posted by a good friend and colleague:
The most powerful life is the most simple life. The most powerful life is the life that knows where it’s going, that knows where the source of strength is; it is the life that stays free of clutter and happenstance and hurriedness.

I came across this swing at a yard sale recently. I've always wanted one. Unfortunately, I do not really have a porch, but I knew I could do something with it.

The funny thing is, that something opened up for this family. Literally opened up! We just doubled our acreage by purchasing the land next to ours. It has been for sale for a while and frankly, we became quite comfortable with the fact that it was an empty lot.

More room to stretch our wings, a blank canvas. I like to look back at my own blog to reflect on how far this family has come along, especially from when we first moved here.

Together we have built a wonderful, happy and beautiful life here.

It was hard in the beginning, and there were some struggles along the way. This is the second marriage for my husband and I and we both started over here without much.  Together, a new start with endless possibilities began...

I look back on these past 10 years and I see how far we have come together and it makes me smile. We metaphorically and literally established some strong roots.

This land purchase is just so exciting to us. Another new beginning. 😃

After finding the perfect spot for our swing, we decided to name our new land, "Swinging Meadows" Our swing is still a work in progress. We haven't finished the wooden details, and we plan on landscaping around it. It is just so exciting that this swing is the first addition to the land and a great place to rewind at the end of the day.

I can't wait to see where this new adventure takes us. Hmmm, so many ideas! Here's to finding a source of strength and living a simple, yet oh so fulfilling life! Life IS Good!
