So, I put the Christmas things away, tried to fill my cloches when it occurred to me. White walls?
Really? I don't think I'm a white wall kind of person.
I definitely like a lot of color and I'm not afraid to paint a whole room plus the ceiling ever so often. It's just paint right?
And so it went. 14 hours, a fresh painted ceiling and gray walls ( even though it looks beige from the pictures) Sherman Williams Waterbury Clay to be exact). The name of the paint reminded me of the beautiful, crystal clear, "Waterbury" Reservoir. My husband and I have taken our canoe there quite often in the summers. A magical place, so the paint must be pretty good too, right?
The transformation began. My boys including the hubby, let me know that the color makes it feel more cozy. Huh, they liked it! And noticed it when they walked in. Two thumbs up!
It looks so nice with many of my navy and white pieces. It also is a nice backdrop to many of my vintage finds!
I wasn't quite ready to paint my kitchen cabinets (oak), because the house is fairly new. This color modernized the look of my cabinets too!
Take a risk friends! It's 2016! It's going to be a great year! And it's just paint. Next step, crown molding...
