There is just a little over two weeks of school left for the year.
As teachers, we often complain about kids being "Checked-out" at this time of the year. They don't want to do their homework, they are focused on the temperature, and they are constantly staring out the window instead of wanting to learn more math.
Really??
OF COURSE THEY ARE CHECKED OUT!
It is absolutely beautiful outside! It's light out well into 8 PM! Kids are hopefully outside for hours enjoying it! I know I am!
If there is an empty container, I will fill it. If there is a bare piece of ground, I will plant it.
There are so many fun things to do outside. After the long winter I find myself fighting the urge to be checked out!
In the evening my husband stands at the front door, smiles and says, "Uh, dinner's ready. It's time to come in. It's after 8."
Darn! I'm coming.
This has got to be the most wonderful time of the year! I even found this little guy!
Enjoy friends!
Oh! No more frogs please! It amazes me there are any left here at all. After a hot day, it's frog-mageddon on the roads. You've become an inspiration you know. I'm always on the lookout now for new ways to plant flowers, and design mini gardens all over my property. (:
ReplyDeleteThanks Amanda, Happy planting!
