What an absolutely lovely Spring Day! Up here, we waited so long for days like these that I feel we appreciate them that much more.

This is definitely the kick off weekend for planting, although this time last year I watched it snow on my garden!

I'm loving my garden fence that my husband put together for me this year.

 The lavender already smells amazing!

Can you catch a glimpse of the lazy dog in the background?

As I walked around the homestead, I realized how much work there is to be done! The weeds, always the weeds!

However, after a long day of work outside and smelling like dirt, there is a true sense of accomplishment.

The day started out fantastic! A breakfast with my family, and a wonderful drive to our favorite nursery! Meeting some fury friends along the way.

Time to appreciate the work that my kids and husband worked together on in the Fall, so many months ago.

School will be winding down, which will leave me with more time to work in the gardens!

Happy Planting to everyone! Thankful for this beautiful day!
There can be no other occupation like gardening in which, if you were to creep up behind someone at their work, you would find them smiling. ~Mirabel Osler

Woohoo, It's Spring. I have finally finished with grad school so my sweet hubby bought me a graduation present!
I have always wanted a white picket fence around my garden!
It's early Spring so it is definitely a work in progress. Soon it will be filled with veggies and flowers for cutting. ( sunflowers, zinnias, and dahlias)
This summer I am so looking forward to spending many relaxing hours in my gardens!
There is a lot of work and preparation. The first signs of Spring are here!
Nasturtium is growing nicely indoors!

In the spring, at the end of the day, you should smell like dirt.
Happy Spring to All! Now get out there and get busy!
