It's a lazy Sunday, meatloaf, take it all in, count your blessings kind of night.

It's a lazy Sunday, meatloaf, take it all in kind of night...
The roads were terrible today so we were completely sidelined on this Sunday!
We had plans! Lots of plans! Shopping, Concerts, Christmas traditions, etc!
Until the roads were just not safe to travel. So today turned into a take a deep breath, take it all in, count your blessings, watch the Giants beat Detroit, make meat loaf, cozy fire watching, Christmas movie watching kind of day. Phew! ~ And it was everything we hoped it would be. Peaceful, :)

Soon we will say goodbye to one of our favorite times of the year.

Today was the perfect opportunity to stop, slow down, and enjoy.

And eat meatloaf of course!

Happy holidays to all!

Wassail Weekend, Woodstock

We just had a wonderful, festive, quintessential weekend in Woodstock VT. Wassail weekend that is. The town is a favorite of my husband and I. We have spent a few weekends in the Summer and Fall and absolutely love the town more with each visit.

There is also an antique mall just down the road!

The store fronts are amazing and the parade was so fun!

And a bonus?
We had a snow day on Monday which gave me an extra day to bake cookies and play with some more holiday projects!

Lastly, a pillow made from a gift sack found at Homegoods.

Enjoy!!

More tidings

More tidings, because frankly it's that time of year and I can't seem to stop.

We waited to pick out our tree until it looked like this outside...
It just has to be white :)

And of course people of all ages need a well stocked hot cocoa bar!

With peppermint chips, marshmallows, and plenty of extra sweets! ( Buddy Elf would totally agree!)

Absolutely everyone in the world needs to own something vintage! They just have to! I have been wanting this next piece for a very long time!

Ha-lle-lu-jahHallelujah, Hallelujah, Halle-le-u-jah!!!

Found while shopping with one of my favorite friends!! (Yes, I know you will eventually see my blog :) )
P.S. Her house is amazing!!! My friend has mad decorating skills!
Any whooo...

The tree! ( and cocoa bar)

I hope you are enjoying this season to the fullest! Live this season as if you were Buddy Elf!
"We elves try to stick to the four main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corns and syrup."

~And lots of decorations! I think Buddy would agree!

The most Wonderful (and busy) time of year

The day before Thanksgiving looked like this...

Cozy right? Well, my son and I have a tradition that directly after the Thanksgiving meal, it's on!
We're off an running!

Decorating for Christmas that is! It usually is a 2-3 day process and this year we had some snow to contend with. We loved it!

We also had our usual helper :)

My family, friends, and colleagues know that I am a Christmas nut!

It's an all day Christmas music listening, "It's a Wonderful Life," watching, Clark Griswold style, over the top kind of nuts!
~And I have passed it onto my son...
Poor kid.

He is a little hooked on lights, and is always so helpful. He understands my kind of Christmas nutty.

Excuse the grainy photo. I need to get out there and take some night photos!

Yes, my son and I were busy! Inside the house and out!

I hope you'll enjoy the inside tour.

We still need to pick out our actual tree.

This weekend, the tree cutting and decorating ceremony will happen. :)
My favorite part of the decorating.

This year, we have added an additional flocked tree. You can never have enough fully decorated trees right?

I hope everyone is enjoying the start of the best time of the year!

Happy Holidays!!
